Facilities

Mill Street Etching Studio enjoys the benefits of supervised printmaking for beginners in the light, spacious and professionally equipped workshop at Rose Farm Barn (please visit www.rosefarmbarns.co.uk for details on staying with us or see the links on the Exhibitions page). For experienced and professional printmakers there is the opportunity to use the facilities unsupervised after an initial induction on the etching press. Daily sessions charged at £25.00 (£20.00 concessions*) or weekly sessions at £125.00 (£100.00 concessions*)

There is one room only for sole use or one to one tuition – housing a Rochat press (bed size 25” x 40“) and all the equipment needed to produce etchings. There is also a large well lit area used for clean processes for designing, planning and pressing prints.

There is always a stock of materials to hand including Charbonnel Etching Inks, Charbonnel hard and soft grounds, and Caligo Safe Wash Relief inks. We supply papers including Hahnemuhle Etching, Somerset Satin Zerkall Mould Made paper, copper plates in different sizes for printing.
