The story of Mill Street Etching Studio stems from the opportunity to purchase a Rochat Press, due to the closure of the londonprintstudio on 1st October 2020. See full article in Vol 29, Winter 2020, Issue 116 in Printmaking Today. This gave Caro the idea to set up a bespoke Etching Studio for Artists, Printmakers, and Students to use the press in a dedicated space solely for one to one use.
Mill Street Etching Studio offers open access to use the exclusive Rochat Etching Press (suitable for printmakers who wish to do editioning) in a well equipped workshop for anyone wishing to develop their skills and knowledge of traditional and modern techniques in all forms of relief printing.
This friendly professional studio lies in a farm environment with rare breed, Borerays, grazing in a nearby field close to the studio and on the edge of the village of Middleton. Mill Street Etching Studio has step free access throughout the studio building. Wheelchair users are able to work in the studio as most equipment is height adjustable. Parking is available in a private car park to the side of the studio.
We offer membership, with technical support for all abilities of print making. In addition we are running our next two- day workshop on the 2nd and 3rd of July 2022. Please sign up to our newsletter or send us an email if you would like to book on this workshop.
